The Pathology Core lab houses a NanoString GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP) and we offer DSP project services in collaboration with Nanostring technical support.
Immunostaining with fluorescent antibodies guide selection of regions of interest (ROI). Selected regions can then be profiled for up to thousands of RNAs or scores of protein biomarkers using panels of barcoded in situ probes or antibodies from Nanostring, respectively. These panels can be customized to probe for RNA sequences of interest or to include antibodies selected by your team. Barcodes attached to the RNA probes or antibodies by photocleavable linkers are cleaved and 'lifted' from ROIs and then sequenced for counting.

Also look at predesigned Nanostring oncology panels which interrogate cancer cell signaling pathways and markers of inflammatory signatures in tumors.
Select up to 90 regions of interest (ROI) per slide using 4-plex immunofluorescence
>18,000 genes quantified per ROI or >100 protein targets
Service includes pre-processing, staining, ROI selection, and data generation
Investigators will work closely with Core lab staff and Nanostring representatives to design experiments. Research teams should include collaborating pathologists to assist with ROI selection and data interpretation and computational biologists for data processing and analyses.
