Nucleic Acid Purification

The Pathology Core Lab offers purification of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) from various biological sample types, including fixed tissue sections, tissues, and cells.
 
The laboratory uses the QIAGEN QIAcube platform for nucleic acid purification. ​This service automates QIAGEN spin column technology and saves researchers time over manual protocols involving organic extraction and alcohol precipitation. Lab staff can provide additional services such as quantification and quality assessment of the nucleic acid samples. High-quality DNA and RNA extractions are suitable for downstream applications, such as PCR / RT-PCR, Southern and Northern blot analysis, sequencing analysis.
